IT’S A DOG’S LIFE
-

Tanya Smith - Vocals
As the resident “rock ‘n’ roll chick”, Tanya is known for her red hair; tartan trousers and endless energy. She joined Underdog in 2018 having moved to Guernsey from London. Her musical role models include Joan Jett, Chrissie Hynde, Debbie Harry and Tina Turner. She is also known for singing original music with The Rock n Roll Disaster.

Carly Tucknott - Vocals
Carly is the crazy busy one in the band as she is involved in many other groups as well as solo work for private parties and events. She works alongside guitarist, Steve, at Thirst Music School as Head of Vocals. Carly's favourite singers are Christina Aguilera and P!nk but also loves singing punk rock songs from bands such as Paramore and No Doubt. Joe Ingrouille - Guitar
Joe joined the band in 2026, started playing guitar at 11 and joined his first band a year later. Music has always been central to his life, drawing influence from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, The Seahorses and Rush — and that’s just scratching the surface. Away from the stage, Joe divides his time between throwing ropes to ships, crewing the pilot boat, teaching at Thirst Music School, and fishing on his boat at Rousse — often all in one very, very long day.

Nathan Smith - Guitar
Nate was born in Laramie, Wyoming and started playing guitar at the age of 13. His early influences were Van Halen, Scorpions, and Mötley Crüe; to name a few. After college he took a break from playing but, in 2015 he picked up the guitar again and formed Underdog. Nate is also a professional chef and has worked in some of the top restaurants everywhere he lives. In his spare time he is also an artist and sculptor specialising in wood and pumpkins.
-

Jordan Solway - Bass
Jordan is the “Band Dad”. Opinionated but enthusiastic he often finds himself challenging decisions and causing trouble. He started playing bass at the age of 14 in a church group out of necessity but quickly fell in love with it. Jordan was influenced in his teenage years by the likes of Foo Fighters, Metallica and Muse, a love of which still has him playing along to them all these years later. Outside of band he enjoys walking his dogs, cooking and woodwork.

Gareth Thomas - Drums
Gareth was born in 1973, his drumming influences began with Ringo and then onto the legend that is Queen’s Roger Taylor. As he grew up (sort of) John Bonham, Dave Grohl and fellow leftie - Dom Howard helped spice up his drumming life. Playing drums since he was about 8 he’s played in rock; grunge; funk and punk bands to crowds of 1000s and 1. Loves dogs, curry, and zombies.
